Craig Curry

He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida and is a retired officer in the Army National Guard, in which he served six years.
In the private industry, Curry owned and operated an independent insurance agency in Marion County for more than 40 years.
From 1985 to 1990 he served the City of Ocala as the president of the Ocala City Council, president of the Marion County Chamber of Commerce, and chairman of the Economic Development Council among many other community and nonprofit organizations.
Chairman Craig Curry was voted in as Commissioner for District 1 in Marion County in 2020. Among other accomplishments in this short time, Curry has become a vigilant member of the Ft. King Heritage Association Board and helped initiate the Litter Task Force from which the No Horsin’ Around Litter Awareness campaign was derived from.
